The register lives in a drawer, every teacher keeps marks in a file of their own, and messages to parents get lost in a busy group chat. When someone asks for last year’s results, the search begins.

Each step is a real Mseed screen, taken from a demo school, and each one does a single job.
Every pupil starts as present, so she only taps those who are absent or late. On her own phone, a class is done in moments.
When a child is marked absent or late, the parents get a message in their own language: in the parents’ space, as a phone notification and by email. Parents can mute school news, but never absence alerts.
All of the half-day’s registers are on one screen, the late ones first. The head supervisor opens a missing one and fills it in, or reminds the teacher.
One search box covers pupils, parents and staff. Type a name in Arabic or Latin letters, a student number or a phone number: “benali” finds Bénali, and “احمد” finds أحمد.
The parents’ space opens on what parents want to know first: how their child is doing, whether anything needs attention, what happened today and what is coming up.
Teachers, office staff and parents each choose their language, and everything follows: screens, messages and report cards, with Arabic written right to left. Dates, marks and times are written the way they are in Algeria.
These safeguards are built into Mseed. There is no setting to switch on, and none to forget.
Each school year keeps the pupil’s level and class. Moving up adds a new year and leaves the earlier ones exactly as they were.

A father with two children at the school is a single person in Mseed, linked to both. For each child, the school decides what he can see and what he receives.

Teachers and staff are part of the school’s records whether or not they ever sign in. What each person can do depends on their role, not on their file.
Your school’s data never mixes with another school’s, and that separation is enforced twice: in the application and in the database. Mseed also asks only for what a school really needs to know about a child.
Import your pupil and parent lists as they are, from CSV or Excel. Mseed reads column headings in Arabic, French or English, and dates written day first. You check every row before anything is saved, and anything it cannot read is pointed out, never silently dropped.

Mseed is designed for the connections schools really have: pages are light, and they try again on their own when the network returns. The gate scanning page goes further: it keeps working offline and sends its scans once the connection is back.
